Cookies

This site uses cookies – small text files that are placed on your machine to help the site provide a better user experience. In general, cookies are used to keep track of user preferences, store information for things like shopping carts and provide anonymous tracking data to third-party applications like Google Analytics. As a general rule, cookies improve your browsing experience. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this and other sites. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. We suggest you consult the “Help” section of your browser, or take a look at the “About Cookies” website, which offers advice for all modern browsers.

If you leave a comment on our site, you may agree to have your name, e-mail address and website stored in cookies. These cookies are intended to make things easier for you, so you won’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies have a lifetime of one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set several cookies to record your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen option cookies last for one year. If you select the “Remember me” option, your connection will be retained for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be deleted.

Cookie (non-)acceptance

The refusal, partial refusal or total acceptance of cookies is mandatory on our Site. Consequently, failure to comply with our cookie policy is null and void. Please consult the “Revise consent” section to view/modify/revoke any previous preferences.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, incorporate additional tracking by third parties and monitor your interaction with such embedded content, including tracking your interaction with embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics collects first-party cookies as well as data relating to IP address, device or browser and activities carried out on this site in order to measure user interactions and generate reports on these statistics.

Google Analytics also collects Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to ensure the security of the service and to tell us which region (country, state or city) our visitors come from (this is known as “IP geolocation”).
This site uses IP address anonymization. IP anonymization or masking occurs as soon as the data is received by the Analytics collection network, before any data storage or processing. Google anonymizes the IP as soon as technically possible, at the earliest possible stage of the collection network. Analytics’ anonymization function replaces the last byte of IP addresses for IPv4 addresses and the last 80 bits of IPv6 addresses with zeros in memory, shortly after they have been sent to the Analytics collection network. In this case, the full IP address is never written to disk. Google Analytics will not have access to visitors’ full IP addresses.

To disable measurement: Google Analytics is compatible with a browser add-on that users may install to disable Google Analytics measurement for any site they access. Note that this add-on only disables Google Analytics measurements.

For further information, please consult Google’s privacy policy and terms of use.
